FLASH® to reach out to Mississippi at Governor’s Hurricane Expo TALLAHASSEE – In an effort to bring its award-winning disaster safety programs to the citizens of Mississippi, The Federal Alliance for Safe Homes, Inc. (FLASH®) will host a booth at the Governor’s Recovery Expo to be held Aug. 11 -13 at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum in Biloxi. Specifically, FLASH and partner The Home Depot Foundation will reach out to Mississippians through “Mississippi Safe and Sound,” a public awareness initiative designed to reach the state’s residents with information about the proven building and retrofitting techniques they can use to strengthen their homes against hurricanes. These techniques are part of the most comprehensive set of disaster-resistant building practices available today.
